Position Overview: Flight Attendant at SkyWest Airlines

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the flight.
Provide exceptional customer service, including the preparation and service of beverages, meals, snacks, and the sale of onboard items.
Manage cabin safety by inspecting emergency equipment, including fire extinguishers, portable oxygen bottles, AEDs, and escape slides.
Deliver clear onboard announcements and assist with baggage stowage.
Maintain a positive, productive work environment while adhering to established performance standards.
Exercise effective leadership during emergency and non-emergency situations, including resolving conflicts and managing medical incidents.
Work independently and perform duties consistently without direct supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Possession of a current, valid U.S. or foreign passport (valid for at least 12 months) and necessary visas for travel to Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in utilizing electronic devices and personal electronic devices (PEDs) for training and operational tasks.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with shifts up to 16 hours.
Ability to travel frequently and work independently.
Proven reliability and punctuality.
Willingness to relocate to an assigned crew domicile (Atlanta, Austin, Boise, Chicago, Colorado Springs, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Detroit, Fresno, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Palm Springs, Phoenix, Portland, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, or Tucson).

Physical and Appearance Requirements

Height must be between 5'0" and 6'0" (without shoes) to ensure safe operation of aircraft and access to emergency equipment.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including walking, bending, reaching, and operating aircraft doors (up to 45 lbs) and beverage carts (up to 250 lbs).
Corrected vision must not exceed 20/40; hearing must be within 15-17kHZ range.
Maintain a professional, neat, and clean appearance per company grooming standards, including specific guidelines regarding hair, tattoos, and piercings.
Must wear a company-issued uniform and compliant face coverings as required.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting Pay: $30.32 per flight hour. New hires are guaranteed 76 flight hours per month after completing initial training.
Per Diem: $2.25 per duty hour away from domicile.
