Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the Flight Attendant is to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers onboard. Flight Attendants represent SkyWest, providing exceptional service, managing cabin operations, and handling emergency and non-emergency situations with composure and leadership.
Core Responsibilities

Ensure the safety and comfort of customers throughout all phases of flight.

Contribute to a positive, productive, and professional work environment.

Manage in-flight services, including the preparation and sale of beverages, meals, and snacks.

Greet passengers, assist with stowage of carry-on baggage, and deliver flight announcements.

Provide leadership and clear direction during emergency and non-emergency events.

Resolve passenger-related concerns, including medical emergencies and disorderly conduct.

Inspect and safely operate all emergency and cabin equipment, including oxygen systems, fire extinguishers, and emergency exits.

Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations and operational standards without direct supervision.
Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Must possess a valid U.S. or foreign passport book (valid for at least 12 months from the application date) and necessary visas for travel between the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.

Excellent English communication skills, including the ability to document irregular, emergency, and security events.

Proficiency in utilizing electronic devices and personal electronic devices (PEDs) for operational and training tasks.

Flexibility to work varied shifts of up to 16 hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Ability to travel frequently and work independently.

Reliability and punctuality are required.

Willingness to relocate to an assigned crew domicile, including: Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Boise, ID; Chicago, IL; Colorado Springs, CO; Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Fresno, CA; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; Palm Springs, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Portland, OR; Salt Lake City, UT; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; or Tucson, AZ.
Physical Requirements

Height must be between 5'0" and 6'0" (without shoes) to allow for the safe operation of aircraft equipment and access to jump seats.

Must be physically capable of frequent walking, bending, reaching, and operating aircraft doors/emergency exits weighing up to 45 pounds.

Must be able to push and pull beverage carts weighing up to 250 pounds.

Corrected vision should not exceed 20/40; hearing must be within the 15-17kHZ range.

Must adhere to professional appearance standards, including guidelines regarding hair, tattoos, and piercings.

Must wear a company-issued uniform and required face coverings.
Compensation and Benefits
-
Starting pay: $30.32 per flight hour.

Flight Hours: Guaranteed 76 flight hours per month following the completion of initial training.

Per Diem: $2.25 for every hour on duty away from the assigned domicile.
