Role Overview
The primary responsibility of a SkyWest Flight Attendant is the safety and security of passengers. In this dynamic role, you will perform essential in-flight duties, provide high-quality customer care, and represent the values of the SkyWest brand.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure the safety and comfort of all customers onboard the aircraft.

Provide effective leadership and direction during both emergency and non-emergency situations.

Conduct cabin inspections and operate emergency equipment, including escape slides, fire extinguishers, portable oxygen bottles, and AEDs.

Resolve passenger concerns, including medical emergencies and disorderly conduct, in a calm and professional manner.

Prepare, serve, and restock in-flight beverages, meals, and snacks; manage onboard retail sales.

Greet passengers, assist with baggage stowage, and deliver official onboard announcements.

Maintain a positive, productive, and respectful work environment.

Adhere to all safety regulations and performance standards without direct supervision.
Minimum Requirements

Minimum age: 21 years old.

Education: High school diploma or equivalency.

Passport: Must possess a valid U.S. or foreign passport book (valid for at least 12 months from application date) and necessary visas for travel between the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.

Language: Excellent English communication skills for safety briefings and technical reporting.

Technology: Proficiency with electronic devices and personal electronic devices (PEDs) for operational and training tasks.

Schedule: Willingness to work varied shifts up to 16 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Travel: Ability to travel frequently and work autonomously for extended periods.

Attributes: Exceptional reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.

Relocation: Ability to relocate to an assigned crew domicile (Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Boise, ID; Chicago, IL; Colorado Springs, CO; Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Fresno, CA; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; Palm Springs, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Portland, OR; Salt Lake City, UT; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; Tucson, AZ).
Physical and Appearance Standards

Height: Between 5'0" and 6'0" (without shoes) to ensure safe operation of aircraft systems and jump seats.

Physical Mobility: Must be able to walk, bend, reach, and lift. Ability to open emergency exits/aircraft doors (up to 45 lbs) and push/pull beverage carts (up to 250 lbs).

Vision/Hearing: Corrected vision not to exceed 20/40; hearing range within 15-17kHZ.

Professionalism: Neat, clean appearance with no extreme hair colors or styles. Specific limitations apply to piercings and tattoos.

Uniforms: Must wear company-issued uniforms and face coverings as required.
Compensation and Benefits

Flight Hours: Guaranteed 76 flight hours per month after successful completion of initial training.

Base Pay: $30.32 per flight hour ($2,304.32 gross monthly guarantee).

Per Diem: $2.25 per duty hour away from the domicile.
