SkyWest Airlines, the largest independently owned regional airline, is seeking dedicated individuals for Flight Attendant positions based across numerous domiciles in the United States. This dynamic role focuses on ensuring passenger safety and providing exceptional customer service in a deadline-driven, operational environment.

About the Role

• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers onboard aircraft.
• Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
• Prepare, serve, and restock in-flight beverages, meals, and snacks, and conduct onboard sales.
• Greet passengers, assist with baggage stowage, and deliver onboard announcements.
• Provide leadership and assistance in emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Calmly resolve passenger issues during flight, including medical emergencies.
• Inspect and operate aircraft cabin components, systems, and emergency equipment to ensure safety compliance.
• Adhere to established procedures and performance standards independently.
• Travel frequently and spend extended periods away from home.
• Relocate to an assigned crew domicile upon successful completion of training.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 21 years.
• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Possession of a current, valid U.S. or foreign passport book valid for at least 12 months following the application date, along with any necessary visas for travel to the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.
• Excellent English communication skills for providing safety information and writing detailed reports.
• Comfortable using basic functions of electronic devices and PEDs for in-flight systems and duties.
• Willingness to work varied shifts up to 16 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to travel frequently and spend lengthy periods alone and without supervision.
• Must be reliable and punctual.

Physical and Appearance Standards

• Height between 5'0" and 6'0" without shoes, and weight must be conducive to safe aircraft operation, including fitting in a jump seat and operating emergency exits.
• Physically capable of frequent walking, bending, reaching, opening emergency exits and aircraft doors (up to 45 lbs), pushing beverage carts (up to 250 lbs), and lifting/transporting items.
• Corrected vision must not exceed 20/40.
• Normal or corrected hearing range within 15-17kHZ.
• Professional, neat, and clean overall appearance.
• No extreme hair styles or colors.
• Specific guidelines apply to piercings and tattoos; visible tattoos must be covered if they fall outside permitted dimensions and locations.
• Must adhere to uniform and face mask/covering requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting pay of $30.32 per flight hour.
• Guaranteed 76 flight hours per month for new hire flight attendants on reserve, paid at the guaranteed rate.
• Per diem of $2.25 per hour while on duty away from the domicile.
