About the Role
As a First Officer (FO) with SkyWest Airlines, primary duties include:

Assisting the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in conducting all flights safely and efficiently.

Supporting the PIC and/or passenger service personnel as necessary to ensure prompt departures.

Assisting or relieving the PIC in the manipulation of aircraft flight controls while underway, including taxiing, takeoff, and landing.
Qualifications
Prospective First Officer candidates must possess the following qualifications:

Hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.

Possess an English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) on their Airman Certificate.

Hold an FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.

Meet the experience requirements of FAR 61.159 prior to employment; candidates within three months of meeting these minimum hour requirements will be considered.

Successfully complete a SkyWest-approved CTP course, which SkyWest Airlines will facilitate for applicants who pass the pilot interview.

For applicants counting helicopter or glider time, a minimum of 250 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours in fixed-wing aircraft is required.
Requirements
All applicants for the First Officer position must meet these essential requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.

Hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S., providing proof of right to work.

Possess a current Passport or other travel documents enabling free exit and re-entry into the U.S. (multiple re-entry status) and legal employment in the U.S. (proper working documents).

Be available to work any day of the week, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and be willing to fly assigned schedules based on pilot bidding seniority.
