About the Role

As a Pilot with SkyWest Airlines, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of flights. Primary duties include assisting the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in all aspects of flight, and potentially relieving the PIC in the manipulation of flight controls, including taxiing, takeoff, and landing. Pilots are also expected to collaborate with the PIC and passenger service personnel to ensure prompt departures. The position requires adaptability to a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on pilot bidding seniority.

Qualifications

  • Hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.
  • Possess an English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) on Airman Certificate.
  • Hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Possess an FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
  • Meet ATP Written Requirement: Be within three months of meeting the minimum hour requirements for the Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate. SkyWest Airlines provides an approved CTP course for those who successfully pass the pilot interview.
  • Meet the experience requirements of FAR 61.159 prior to employment.
  • If counting helicopter or glider time, applicants must have a minimum of 250 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) fixed-wing hours.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or legally eligible to work in the U.S. with appropriate documentation.
  • Possess a current Passport or other travel documents enabling free exit and re-entry into the U.S. (multiple re-entry status).
  • Available to work on any day, seven days a week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
