Pilot Position at SkyWest Airlines
SkyWest Airlines is seeking qualified pilots to join their team, offering opportunities across numerous domiciles throughout the United States. This role involves assisting the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in ensuring safe and efficient flight operations, contributing to prompt departures, and manipulating aircraft controls as required.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.
- English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) on Airman Certificate.
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- U.S. citizenship or proof of the legal right to work in the U.S.
- FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
- Current passport or other travel documents enabling unrestricted re-entry into the U.S.
- Availability to work any day of the week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Within three months of meeting minimum flight hour requirements.
- Must meet the experience requirements of FAR 61.159 prior to employment.
Flight Hour Considerations
- SkyWest Airlines accepts helicopter or glider time as part of an applicant’s total flight time, provided a minimum of 250 PIC hours of fixed-wing experience is held.
About the Role
- Assist the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in conducting flights safely and efficiently.
- Support the PIC and/or passenger service personnel to ensure timely departures.
- Assist or relieve the PIC in manipulating flight controls during all phases of flight, including taxiing, takeoff, and landing.
