SkyWest Airlines invites applications for a dedicated and skilled First Officer (FO) to join its dynamic flight operations team. This pivotal pilot role offers the opportunity to contribute to safe and efficient air travel across various US domiciles, including Phoenix, Los Angeles, Denver, Atlanta, Chicago, and Salt Lake City, among others, supporting SkyWest's extensive network.
About the Role
As a First Officer, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) to ensure safe and efficient flight operations. This involves actively participating in the manipulation of flight controls during all phases of flight, including taxiing, takeoff, and landing, and collaborating with the PIC and ground personnel for prompt departures. This demanding yet rewarding position requires flexibility, as assignments may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on pilot bidding seniority and operational needs.
Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.

Be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S., possessing proper working documents.

Hold a current Passport or other travel documents enabling unrestricted exit and re-entry to the U.S. (multiple re-entry status).

Be available to work on any day, seven days a week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Meet the experience requirements of FAR 61.159 prior to employment, or be within three months of achieving these minimum hour requirements.

For applicants with helicopter or glider time, a minimum of 250 fixed-wing Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours is required for such time to be accepted towards total flight time.

Successful applicants passing the pilot interview will be provided with the means to complete a SkyWest-approved CTP course to fulfill the ATP Written Requirement.
Qualifications

Hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.

Possess an English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) on Airman Certificate.

Hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Possess an FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
