About the Role
This First Officer position involves crucial responsibilities in ensuring safe and efficient flight operations.

Assist the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in conducting the flight safely and efficiently.

Collaborate with the PIC and/or passenger service personnel to ensure prompt departures.

Assist or relieve the PIC in the manipulation of aircraft flight controls during all phases of flight, including taxiing, takeoff, and landing.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess the following essential aviation qualifications and certifications:

Hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.

Possess an English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) on their Airman Certificate.

Hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Possess an FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.

Meet the aeronautical experience requirements of FAR 61.159 prior to employment.

Be within three months of meeting SkyWest Airlines' minimum hour requirements at the time of application.

For the ATP Written Requirement, SkyWest will provide the means to complete a SkyWest-approved CTP course for applicants who successfully pass the pilot interview.

Applicants counting helicopter or glider time must have a minimum of 250 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours in fixed-wing aircraft.
Requirements
Prospective Pilots must also meet the following eligibility and operational requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.

Be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S., able to show proof of right to work.

Possess a current Passport or other travel documents enabling multiple re-entry to the U.S.

Be available to work any day, seven days a week, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and be willing to fly assigned schedules based on pilot bidding seniority.

Ability to maintain a FAA First Class Medical Certificate throughout employment.

Willingness to work from or commute to one of SkyWest's domiciles, including Phoenix, Tucson (AZ); Fresno, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, San Diego, San Francisco (CA); Colorado Springs, Denver (CO); Atlanta (GA); Boise (ID); Chicago (IL); Minneapolis/St. Paul (MN); Detroit (MI); Portland (OR); Austin, Dallas, Houston (TX); Salt Lake City (UT); Seattle (WA); and Milwaukee (WI).
