Professional Pilot Opportunities

SkyWest Airlines is currently seeking qualified professionals to join our flight operations team. As a pilot, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft, assisting the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) with flight deck management, aircraft handling, and passenger service coordination.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist the PIC in conducting flights safely and efficiently.
  • Support the PIC and passenger service personnel to ensure prompt departures.
  • Assist or relieve the PIC in the manipulation of flight controls, including taxiing, takeoff, and landing procedures.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.
  • Possess an English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) on the Airman Certificate.
  • Hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Possess a valid FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or provide proof of legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Hold a current passport or documentation enabling free exit and re-entry to the U.S.
  • Meet the experience requirements of FAR 61.159 prior to employment.
  • Be within three months of reaching minimum hour requirements.
  • For applicants counting helicopter or glider time, a minimum of 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time is required.

ATP Written Requirement

Candidates who successfully complete the interview process will be provided access to a SkyWest-approved Certification Training Program (CTP) course.

Operational Requirements

Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on pilot bidding seniority.
