Position Overview: Professional Pilot
SkyWest Airlines is seeking qualified professionals to join our aviation team. The successful candidate will assist the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in conducting flights safely and efficiently, ensuring prompt departures, and managing flight controls during taxiing, takeoff, and landing operations.
Core Qualifications and Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.

Must possess an English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) on their Airman Certificate.

Must hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Must hold an FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.

Must be a U.S. citizen or provide proof of legal right to work in the U.S.

Must possess a current passport or equivalent travel documents enabling free re-entry to the U.S.

Must be within three months of meeting minimum hour requirements.

Must meet the experience requirements of FAR 61.159 prior to employment.

Candidates are required to be available for scheduling seven days a week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Experience and Certification Details
SkyWest recognizes transferable skills from helicopter and glider operations. Helicopter or glider time may be counted toward total time requirements, provided the applicant has a minimum of 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time. Regarding the ATP written requirement, SkyWest provides access to an approved Certification Training Program (CTP) for candidates who successfully complete the interview process.
