Professional Pilot Opportunities

SkyWest Airlines is currently seeking qualified professional pilots to join our flight operations team. This role requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and professional excellence in the aviation industry.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in the safe and efficient conduct of flight operations.
  • Collaborate with the PIC and passenger service personnel to ensure adherence to departure schedules.
  • Provide support or relief to the PIC regarding the manipulation of flight controls, including taxiing, takeoff, and landing procedures.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.
  • Possess an English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) on their Airman Certificate.
  • Hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or hold valid legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Possess an FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
  • Hold a current Passport or alternative travel documentation enabling unrestricted exit and re-entry to the U.S.
  • Must be within three months of meeting minimum hour requirements.
  • Must meet experience requirements of FAR 61.159 prior to employment.
  • Candidates utilizing helicopter or glider time must have a minimum of 250 PIC hours of fixed-wing time.

Operational Expectations

Successful candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, in accordance with pilot bidding seniority. SkyWest provides access to a SkyWest-approved CTP course for qualified applicants who successfully pass the interview process.
