Professional Pilot Job Description
SkyWest Airlines is seeking qualified professionals to join our flight operations team. Pilots are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient conduct of flights, assisting the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) with aircraft operations, and facilitating prompt departures in collaboration with passenger service personnel.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft.

Support the PIC and ground personnel to ensure timely aircraft departures.

Perform manipulation of flight controls, including taxiing, takeoff, and landing, as required by the PIC.
Candidate Requirements

Minimum age of 21.

Hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.

Possess an English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) on the Airman Certificate.

Maintain a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Hold a valid FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.

Possess a current Passport or valid documentation allowing for unrestricted exit and re-entry into the U.S.

Must be a U.S. citizen or provide verifiable proof of legal eligibility to work in the U.S.

Must be within three months of meeting minimum hour requirements.

Must meet the experience requirements of FAR 61.159 prior to employment.

Applicants counting helicopter or glider time must have a minimum of 250 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) fixed-wing hours.

Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on pilot bidding seniority.
ATP Written Requirement
Qualified applicants who pass the pilot interview will be provided with the opportunity to complete a SkyWest-approved Certification Training Program (CTP) course.
