Professional Pilot Position Overview

SkyWest Airlines is seeking dedicated and qualified professionals to join our flight operations team. Pilots are responsible for assisting the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in the safe and efficient conduct of flights, including the manipulation of flight controls during taxi, takeoff, landing, and en-route operations. Successful candidates will also assist the PIC and ground personnel to ensure prompt and efficient departures.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.
• Maintain an English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) on the Airman Certificate.
• Hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
• Possess an FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
• Hold a current passport or travel documentation allowing for legal exit and re-entry into the U.S.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or hold valid, documented authorization to work in the United States.
• Applicants must be within three months of meeting minimum hour requirements.
• Must meet all experience requirements stipulated by FAR 61.159 prior to employment.
• For applicants counting helicopter or glider time, a minimum of 250 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours of fixed-wing flight time is required.

ATP Written and CTP Training

SkyWest provides the opportunity for applicants who successfully pass the interview process to complete a SkyWest-approved Certification Training Program (CTP) course.

Operational Requirements

Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Schedules are assigned based on pilot bidding seniority.
