Professional Pilot Opportunity

SkyWest Airlines is seeking qualified candidates to fill Pilot positions across our various U.S. domiciles. The successful candidate will assist the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in conducting flight operations safely and efficiently, ensuring prompt departures, and manipulating flight controls during taxi, takeoff, landing, and en-route phases.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist the Pilot-in-Command in the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft.
  • Support the PIC and passenger service personnel to ensure adherence to departure schedules.
  • Manipulate flight controls, including taxiing, takeoff, and landing, as directed or required.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.
  • Possess an English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) on the Airman Certificate.
  • Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • U.S. citizenship or proof of legal right to work in the United States.
  • Valid FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
  • Current Passport or travel documentation allowing for legal entry/exit of the U.S.
  • Must be within three months of meeting minimum flight hour requirements.
  • Meet all experience requirements as defined by FAR 61.159 prior to employment.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Flight Experience and Licensing

SkyWest Airlines supports applicants in completing the ATP written requirement; the company provides access to a SkyWest-approved CTP course for candidates who successfully pass the interview process. For applicants with helicopter or glider experience, SkyWest accepts this time toward total flight hours provided the candidate possesses a minimum of 250 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours in fixed-wing aircraft.
