Professional Pilot Opportunities

SkyWest Airlines is currently seeking qualified professionals to join our flight operations team. Pilots are responsible for assisting the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in the safe and efficient operation of aircraft, ensuring prompt departures, and managing flight controls, including taxiing, takeoff, and landing procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in conducting all flights safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the PIC and passenger service personnel to facilitate timely departures.
  • Support or relieve the PIC in the manipulation of flight controls during all phases of flight, including taxi, takeoff, and landing.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum age of 21.
  • Possession of a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument ratings.
  • Current English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) on Airman Certificate.
  • Valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
  • Current passport or valid travel documentation enabling legal entry and exit from the U.S.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or possess proper authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Must be within three months of meeting minimum flight hour requirements.
  • Ability to meet FAR 61.159 experience requirements prior to employment.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Experience and Training

Applicants with helicopter or glider experience may include this time toward total flight hours, provided they possess a minimum of 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time. SkyWest provides access to a company-approved CTP course for candidates who successfully complete the application and interview process.
