Professional Pilot Job Description
SkyWest Airlines is seeking qualified professionals to join our aviation team. The successful candidate will assist the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in conducting flight operations safely and efficiently, ensuring prompt departures, and managing flight controls during taxiing, takeoff, and landing procedures.
Primary Responsibilities

Assist the Pilot-in-Command in all aspects of safe and efficient flight operation.

Collaborate with the PIC and passenger service personnel to ensure on-time departures.

Operate aircraft flight controls, including taxiing, takeoff, and landing, as directed or required.

Maintain availability for a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on pilot bidding seniority.
Candidate Requirements

Minimum age: 21 years.

Hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.

Possess an English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) on the Airman Certificate.

Hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Possess an FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.

Current Passport or equivalent travel documentation allowing for free exit and re-entry to the U.S.

U.S. citizenship or proof of legal right to work in the U.S.

Must be within three months of meeting minimum hour requirements.

Must meet the experience requirements of FAR 61.159 prior to employment.

For applicants counting helicopter or glider time, a minimum of 250 PIC hours of fixed-wing time is required.
ATP Written Requirement
SkyWest provides access to a company-approved CTP course for qualified applicants who successfully complete the interview process.
