Professional Pilot Opportunities

SkyWest Airlines is seeking qualified candidates for Pilot positions. Successful applicants will assist the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in the safe and efficient operation of aircraft, including manipulation of flight controls, taxiing, takeoff, and landing procedures, while ensuring prompt departures in coordination with passenger service personnel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.
  • English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) on Airman Certificate.
  • Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
  • U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Current Passport or travel documents enabling the bearer to freely exit and re-enter the U.S. with multiple reentry status.
  • Must meet experience requirements of FAR 61.159 prior to employment.
  • Must be within three months of minimum hour requirements.
  • Applicants with helicopter or glider experience must have a minimum of 250 PIC hours of fixed-wing time.

ATP Written Requirement

SkyWest provides access to a SkyWest-approved CTP course for candidates who complete an application and successfully pass the pilot interview.

Operational Requirements

Candidates must maintain availability for all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Schedules are subject to pilot bidding seniority. Candidates must be willing to relocate or commute to assigned domiciles.
