Professional Pilot Opportunities

SkyWest Airlines is seeking qualified candidates for Pilot positions. Successful applicants will assist the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in the safe and efficient operation of aircraft, including participation in taxiing, takeoff, landing, and the management of flight controls. Candidates will also support passenger service personnel to ensure prompt and efficient flight departures.

Primary Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.
  • Possess an English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) on the Airman Certificate.
  • Maintain a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Hold an FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
  • Possess a current passport or equivalent travel documentation permitting free exit and re-entry to the U.S.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or possess documentation verifying legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Must meet experience requirements defined under FAR 61.159 prior to employment.
  • Applicants must be within three months of meeting minimum hour requirements.

Flight Experience and Training

SkyWest Airlines recognizes the skills associated with helicopter and glider flight; this time is accepted toward total time requirements provided the applicant possesses a minimum of 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time. SkyWest provides access to a company-approved CTP course for those who successfully complete the application and interview process.

Schedule and Availability

Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Assigned flight schedules are determined based on pilot bidding seniority.
