Professional Pilot Opportunities

SkyWest Airlines is seeking qualified, safety-oriented candidates to join our team as professional pilots. Successful candidates will support the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in ensuring safe, efficient flight operations, assisting with ground and flight deck duties, and maintaining strict adherence to operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the PIC in the safe and efficient conduct of flight operations.
  • Collaborate with the PIC and passenger service personnel to ensure prompt departures.
  • Support or relieve the PIC in the manipulation of flight controls, including taxiing, takeoff, and landing procedures.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Possession of a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.
  • English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) on Airman Certificate.
  • Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Valid FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
  • Current Passport or documentation enabling free exit and re-entry to the U.S.
  • Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Must meet experience requirements of FAR 61.159 prior to employment.
  • Applicants must be within three months of meeting minimum hour requirements.
  • Helicopter/Glider experience is accepted toward total time, provided the applicant has a minimum of 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.

Operational Expectations

Qualified candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, subject to pilot bidding seniority. SkyWest provides a company-approved CTP course for those who successfully pass the interview process.
