Professional Pilot Opportunities

SkyWest Airlines is seeking qualified, safety-oriented candidates to join our team as professional pilots. Successful candidates will support the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in ensuring safe, efficient flight operations, assisting with ground and flight deck duties, and maintaining strict adherence to operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the PIC in the safe and efficient conduct of flight operations.
Collaborate with the PIC and passenger service personnel to ensure prompt departures.
Support or relieve the PIC in the manipulation of flight controls, including taxiing, takeoff, and landing procedures.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age.
Possession of a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.
English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) on Airman Certificate.
Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
Valid FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
Current Passport or documentation enabling free exit and re-entry to the U.S.
Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Must meet experience requirements of FAR 61.159 prior to employment.
Applicants must be within three months of meeting minimum hour requirements.
Helicopter/Glider experience is accepted toward total time, provided the applicant has a minimum of 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.

Operational Expectations

Qualified candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, subject to pilot bidding seniority. SkyWest provides a company-approved CTP course for those who successfully pass the interview process.
