Pilot Job Description
SkyWest Airlines is seeking qualified individuals for pilot positions. The successful candidate will assist the Pilot-in-Command in conducting flights safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include aiding in pre-flight preparations, assisting with flight controls during all phases of flight, and ensuring prompt departures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.
- Must possess an English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) on Airman Certificate.
- Must hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or possess proof of right to work in the U.S.
- Must hold an FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
- Must have a current Passport or other travel documents enabling free exit and reentry to the U.S., with multiple reentry status, and be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be available to work any day, seven days a week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be within three months of meeting the minimum hour requirements detailed in FAR 61.159 prior to employment.
- Must meet the experience requirements of FAR 61.159 prior to employment.
- Must have a minimum of 250 Pilot-in-Command hours of fixed-wing time when counting helicopter or glider time towards total time.
SkyWest will provide a SkyWest-approved CTP course for applicants who successfully complete the pilot interview.
