Responsibilities:
As a valued member of the flight crew, the First Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing unwavering support to the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) throughout all phases of flight.
- Collaborating seamlessly with the PIC and passenger service personnel to ensure on-time departures.
- Skillfully assisting or relieving the PIC in the manipulation of flight controls, encompassing taxiing, takeoff, and landing procedures.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this exceptional opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Possession of a valid Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.
- English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) clearly indicated on Airman Certificate.
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- U.S. citizenship or verifiable documentation authorizing employment within the U.S.
- Valid FCC Radiotelephone Operator's Permit.
- Current Passport or equivalent travel documents permitting unrestricted entry and exit from the U.S., along with legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Fulfillment of ATP Written Requirement. (SkyWest provides a SkyWest-approved CTP course for those who successfully complete the application and interview process).
- Meet the experience requirements outlined in FAR 61.159 prior to employment.
Helicopter and Glider Pilot Experience:
SkyWest acknowledges the transferable skills gained from helicopter and glider flying. We will consider helo/glider time towards an applicant's total flight time provided they have a minimum of 250 PIC hours in fixed-wing aircraft.

Physical and Additional Requirements:
- First Class Medical certification.
- Willingness to fly assigned schedules based on pilot bidding seniority.
