Job Opportunity: Flight Attendant at SkyWest Airlines

Primary Responsibilities

Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the flight.

Provide effective leadership, direction, and assistance during emergency and non-emergency situations.

Perform in-flight service duties, including the preparation and sale of beverages, meals, and snacks.

Greet passengers, assist with cabin stowage, and deliver professional onboard announcements.

Inspect and safely operate cabin systems and emergency equipment, including fire extinguishers, oxygen bottles, AEDs, and escape slides.

Resolve passenger concerns, including managing medical emergencies or disorderly conduct, with professionalism.

Consistently adhere to safety regulations and operational performance standards.
Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age.

High school diploma or equivalency required.

Possession of a current, valid U.S. or foreign passport book (valid for at least 12 months from application date) and any necessary visas for travel between the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.

Excellent English verbal and written communication skills for safety briefings and incident reporting.

Proficiency in utilizing electronic devices and Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) for training and in-flight operations.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with shifts up to 16 hours.

Capacity to travel frequently and work independently without supervision.

Reliability and punctuality are essential.

Must be willing to relocate to an assigned crew domicile following successful completion of training: Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Boise, ID; Chicago, IL; Colorado Springs, CO; Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Fresno, CA; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; Palm Springs, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Portland, OR; Salt Lake City, UT; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; or Tucson, AZ.
Physical and Appearance Requirements

Height must be between 5’0” and 6’0” (without shoes) to ensure safe operation of aircraft and fit within jump seat dimensions.

Physical ability to walk frequently, reach above shoulder level, bend below ankle level, operate emergency exits, close heavy aircraft doors (up to 45 lbs), and move beverage carts (up to 250 lbs).

Corrected vision not to exceed 20/40; hearing range within 15-17kHZ (normal or corrected).

Adherence to professional appearance standards, including specific guidelines regarding hair, tattoos, and piercings.

Must wear a company-issued uniform and compliant face covering as required.
Compensation and Benefits
-
Starting pay is $30.32 per flight hour with a guarantee of 76 flight hours per month for reserve status (equating to $2,304.32 gross monthly base pay, excluding additional per diem or overtime).

Per Diem: $2.25 for every hour on duty away from domicile.
