Flight Attendant
SkyWest Airlines, the largest independently owned regional airline, is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as Flight Attendants in various locations. This role focuses on ensuring passenger safety and providing exceptional customer service within a deadline-driven, operational environment.
About the Role
The primary responsibility of a SkyWest Flight Attendant is to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers during flight. Key duties include preparing and serving in-flight amenities, assisting passengers with baggage, making announcements, and providing effective leadership and assistance during both emergency and non-emergency situations. This dynamic position involves travel, continuous learning, and representing SkyWest's commitment to service excellence.

Requirements

Minimum age of 21 years.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Possession of a current, valid U.S. or foreign passport book, valid for at least 12 months beyond the application date, along with any necessary visas for travel between the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.

Excellent English communication skills for providing safety information and writing reports.

Comfort using electronic devices and PEDs for operational duties.

Willingness to work varied shifts up to 16 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to travel frequently and spend extended periods alone and without supervision.

Must be reliable and punctual.

Willingness to relocate to an assigned crew domicile after successful completion of training.
Physical and Appearance Standards

Height and weight must allow for safe operation of the aircraft, including fitting in jump seats with harness secured, moving through the cabin, and operating emergency exits.

Height must be between 5'0" and 6'0" without shoes.

Physically capable of frequent walking, bending, reaching, opening emergency exits, closing aircraft doors (up to 45 lbs), pushing beverage carts (up to 250 lbs), and lifting/storing items.

Corrected vision not to exceed 20/40.

Normal or corrected hearing range within 15-17kHZ.

Professional, neat, and clean overall appearance.

No extreme hair styles or colors.

Limited facial piercings; single stud nose piercing (2mm or smaller) allowed. Two piercings per ear allowed. Gauges must be plugged with clear or skin-toned plugs and not exceed ½ inch. Other facial, mouth, or tongue piercings are prohibited.

Visible tattoos are permitted with limitations based on dimension and location; non-compliant tattoos must be covered by uniform or makeup. Offensive tattoos must not be visible.

Must wear a company-issued uniform and compliant face mask/covering as required.
Compensation and Benefits

Guaranteed 76 flight hours per month as a reserve after initial training completion.

Starting pay of $30.32 per flight hour.

Per diem of $2.25 for every hour on duty away from domicile.
