About the Role
As a SkyWest Flight Attendant, you will be part of a professional team, traveling and embodying SkyWest's service ethos. Key responsibilities include:

Ensure passenger safety and comfort onboard the aircraft.

Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.

Prepare, serve, restock in-flight items, and process sales.

Greet passengers, assist with baggage, and deliver announcements.

Provide leadership and assistance in emergency/non-emergency situations.

Resolve passenger situations (e.g., disorderly conduct, medical events).

Ensure safety compliance via inspection and operation of aircraft cabin components and emergency equipment (e.g., escape slides, AEDs).

Adhere to established procedures and performance standards independently.
Requirements
Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum 21 years of age.

High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Current, valid U.S. or foreign passport (12-month validity post-application), with necessary visas for US, Canada, Mexico, Bahamas travel.

Excellent English communication (verbal for safety, written for reports).

Proficiency in basic electronic device and PED functions for in-flight systems and duties.
Operational & Relocation Readiness

Ability to work varied shifts up to 16 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Capacity for frequent travel and extended periods working independently.

Reliable and punctual.

Willingness to relocate to an assigned crew domicile post-training. Domiciles include:

Physical & Appearance Standards

Height: 5’0” to 6’0” without shoes.

Physical dimensions must allow safe aircraft operation (jump seat fit, cabin maneuverability, emergency exit operation).

Capable of frequent walking, bending, reaching; operating emergency exits/doors (up to 45 lbs); pushing/pulling beverage carts (up to 250 lbs); lifting/storing items.

Corrected vision not exceeding 20/40.
-
Normal or corrected hearing range within 15-17kHZ.

Professional, neat, and clean appearance.

No extreme hair styles or colors.

Piercings: single stud nose (2mm max), two ear piercings; gauges plugged (clear/skin tone, max ½”). Other facial, mouth, or tongue piercings prohibited.

Visible tattoos allowed with dimension/location limits; must be covered by uniform or skin-tone makeup if outside guidelines (bandages not permitted). Offensive tattoos not visible.

Must wear company uniform and compliant face mask/covering.
Compensation & Benefits

Guaranteed 76 flight hours/month for new hire Flight Attendants on reserve status post-training.

Starting pay: $30.32 per flight hour (base monthly gross of $2,304.32 for guaranteed hours; excludes per diem/additional hours).

Per diem: $2.25 for every hour on duty away from domicile.
