The Opportunity

SkyUp Airlines is seeking a seasoned professional to join the leadership team as the Director of Cabin Crew. This pivotal executive role demands strategic oversight, operational excellence, and a commitment to fostering superior passenger experiences while maintaining rigorous regulatory compliance across all flight operations.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following core functions:

  • Operational Stability and Alignment: Overseeing the consistent and effective operation of the entire Cabin Crew function. This includes organizational alignment, meticulous resource planning, and ensuring all Cabin Crew units function optimally in adherence to approved standards and Air Operator Certificates (AOCs).
  • Passenger Experience Management: Defining, developing, and maintaining the onboard service policy. The Director will cultivate a strong service culture and implement innovative approaches that significantly enhance the customer perception of the SkyUp brand.
  • Talent Development and Leadership Pipeline: Ensuring the continuous professional growth of cabin crew members. Responsibilities include building a robust talent pipeline and cultivating a strong, effective leadership team within the department.
  • Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring full operational compliance with all internal safety policies, operational procedures, and external regulatory standards. This function is critical for effective risk management and the maintenance of high aviation safety standards.
  • Administrative and Regulatory Oversight: Establishing, maintaining, and reviewing all internal documentation, procedures, and regulations governing cabin crew activities, training programs, and operational guidelines.
  • Strategic Change Integration: Coordinating internal transformations, participating actively in cross-functional strategic projects, and implementing innovative solutions that support functional development and strategic objectives.
  • Financial Management: Direct management of the department’s budget, overseeing expense planning, and implementing stringent cost control measures to guarantee maximum operational efficiency and fiscal responsibility.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in cabin crew management or senior inflight services leadership roles within a commercial airline setting is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and oversee complex airline operations across multiple Air Operator Certificates (AOCs) while ensuring strict adherence to global operational standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication skills and proven ability to effectively align service delivery with core brand values.
  • Proficiency in managing organizational transformation processes, implementing technological innovations, and driving strategic corporate objectives.
  • English language proficiency at the Upper-Intermediate level or higher (ICAO Level 4+ is strongly recommended).
  • Significant experience in establishing, developing, and mentoring a robust departmental leadership team.
  • Possesses a strong service orientation, high level of autonomy, decisive leadership capabilities, and expert analytical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated skills in formal project management methodologies.
  • The candidate must exhibit a strong 'growth mindset' and commitment to continuous improvement.
