The Opportunity

SkyUp Airlines invites applications for the executive position of Director of Cabin Crew. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for overseeing all facets of the Cabin Crew function, ensuring operational stability, superior passenger experience, and strict adherence to global safety and regulatory mandates.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

The Director of Cabin Crew is expected to manage a diverse portfolio of responsibilities, including:

  • Operational Stability and Continuity: Ensures the stable and continuous operation of the Cabin Crew function, encompassing organizational alignment, comprehensive resource planning, and effective functioning of all Cabin Crew units in adherence to approved standards and Air Operator Certificates (AOCs).
  • Passenger Experience Management: Directs the development and continuous refinement of the onboard service policy. The role supports a culture of exceptional service and implements strategic approaches that significantly enhance customer perception and strengthen the company brand.
  • Crew Development and Leadership Pipeline: Oversees the professional growth and continuous development of all cabin crew members, builds a robust internal talent pipeline, and supports the cultivation of a strong, resilient leadership team within the department.
  • Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Guarantees comprehensive operational compliance with internal safety policies, established procedures, external regulatory standards, and rigorous risk management protocols across all operations.
  • Administrative and Documentation Oversight: Establishes and meticulously maintains all internal documentation, operating procedures, and regulations governing cabin crew activities and mandatory training requirements.
  • Strategic Initiative Implementation: Coordinates major internal transformations, participates actively in critical cross-functional projects, and implements innovative solutions that support sustained functional development and strategic goals.
  • Fiscal Responsibility: Manages the department’s operational budget, oversees detailed expense planning, and ensures stringent cost control measures are implemented to maximize operational effectiveness and financial efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of executive leadership and operational excellence:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in cabin crew management or senior inflight services roles within a commercial airline setting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing operations across multiple Air Operator Certificates (AOCs), ensuring strict adherence to international operational standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Superior communication skills, coupled with the proven capacity to align service delivery effectively with core brand values.
  • Proven expertise in leading organizational transformation processes, implementing strategic innovations, and achieving defined corporate objectives.
  • English proficiency at the Upper-Intermediate level or higher (ICAO Level 4+ is strongly recommended).
  • Successful track record in building, developing, and mentoring high-performing leadership teams.
  • Exceptional service orientation, a high level of professional autonomy, decisive leadership capabilities, and sophisticated analytical thinking.
  • Knowledge and practical skills in advanced project management methodologies.
  • Possession of a strong growth mindset is essential.
