SkyCare Air Ambulance & Charters seeks a full-time, entry-level Pilot (Cadet) for its structured Captain Development Program in Sioux Lookout, Ontario, Canada. This role offers a pathway to First Officer and Captain positions, supporting diverse operations including medevac flights, cargo transport, and charter services.
About the Role
This comprehensive program commences with a ground-based operational assignment, allowing candidates to gain valuable experience. Initial roles include Operations Coordinator, supporting flight coordination, customer service, and flight information systems, or Aircraft Groomer, responsible for aircraft detailing, fueling, loading/unloading, ground operations, and facility maintenance. Following successful completion of this phase, participants will advance to a Navajo First Officer position, with eventual progression to the Metro Captain seat. The program is designed to foster accelerated career progression within the organization.
Requirements
- Must possess a Transport Canada (TC) Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
- Must hold a TC Group 1 Multi-Engine Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) qualification.
- Must possess a valid Class 1 Medical certificate.
- A minimum of 250 hours of total flight time is required.
- Must have legal eligibility to work in Canada.
- A recent Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector screening, completed within the last 30 days, is mandatory.
- Candidates must be capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.
Qualifications
- Completion of a ground-based operational assignment (e.g., Operations Coordinator or Aircraft Groomer).
- Successful progression through the Navajo First Officer seat.
- Demonstrated performance, training completion, and operational readiness for advancement.
