The Opportunity
Silverhawk Aviation is seeking a highly skilled and professional Citation Ultra/Encore Second-in-Command (SIC) to join its part-time flight operations team in Lincoln, Nebraska. This pivotal role supports the company's charter services, frequently catering to dedicated repeat clients traveling to popular vacation destinations throughout the U.S., Mexico, and the Caribbean. All Citation flights are conducted with a Pilot in Command (PIC) and a Second-in-Command (SIC) to ensure optimal safety and operational efficiency. Contract pilots may benefit from flexible scheduling, potentially allowing for several nights at home during their rotation.
Key Responsibilities
The Second-in-Command will be responsible for:
- Reporting directly to the Pilot in Command and diligently performing all assigned duties.
- Conducting thorough pre-flight inspections of the aircraft and executing comprehensive cockpit checks.
- Managing cabin provisioning, including stocking the galley with essential items such as coffee, ice, snacks, and drinks.
- Ensuring the aircraft's pristine condition upon flight termination by removing trash, arranging seat belts, emptying coffee and ice, and restocking supplies.
- Rigorously monitoring and maintaining accurate records of flight-time and duty-time to ensure strict compliance with CFR ยง 135 regulations and the Silverhawk Aviation Operations Manual.
Qualifications
Required:
- Possession of a CE-500 Type Rating.
- Minimum of 1000 hours total flight time.
- Must hold a current Multi-Engine Commercial Pilot Certificate (Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate is preferred; Silverhawk Aviation will assist hired pilots in obtaining their ATP if needed).
- Maintenance of 90-day currency.
- Possession of a valid U.S. Passport.
- Demonstrated clean FAA record.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must reside within a two (2) hour driving distance of the Lincoln Airport (1751 W Kearney Ave, Lincoln, NE 68524).
Preferred:
- Minimum of 50 hours multi-engine flight time.
