First Officer - Learjet LR60
Sierra West Airlines is seeking a full-time First Officer for its Part 135 operation based in Modesto, California (MOD). This role involves supporting passenger and freight flights on the Learjet LR60, operating in diverse conditions, and upholding high safety and customer service standards.
About the Role
The First Officer will be responsible for assisting with passenger and freight operations, ensuring aircraft readiness, and maintaining professional conduct. Key duties include communicating aircraft deficiencies for maintenance, operating the aircraft in accordance with regulations, and providing exemplary customer service. The role requires extensive travel, including frequent unplanned overnight flights, and the ability to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Requirements
- Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with multi-engine land and instrument rating OR Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) License
- Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate
- Current Instrument Proficiency Check
- English proficiency
- Minimum age of 18
- FAA First Class Medical
- FCC Radiotelephone Operator Permit
- Current passport
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and maneuver around aircraft
- Successful completion of pre-employment DOT drug screening and background checks
- Ability to obtain an airport SIDA badge
- Willingness and ability to relocate to the assigned base (Modesto, CA) or be within a two-hour commute
- Willingness to make an 18-month training commitment (for entry-level hires)
- Smartphone with texting and email capabilities

- Reliable transportation
- 1,500 hours total time (TT)
- 500 hours multi-engine (ME)
Preferred Qualifications
- Part 135 experience
- Familiarity with company aircraft
- Previous cargo experience
- LR60 SIC type rating
- Certified MEI
- ATP (already preferred)
