Position Overview
Sierra West Airlines is seeking qualified Second-in-Command (SIC) pilots to join our Metro team. This role is integral to our cargo operations, requiring professionals who are dependable, adaptable, and dedicated to a safety-focused culture. The position offers an opportunity to gain significant real-world experience in a fast-paced, on-demand aviation environment. Candidates must be prepared for a schedule that includes frequent overnight callouts, weekends, and holidays, and must possess the physical stamina required for field operations.
Job Duties

Maintain professional communication standards for complex internal and external aircraft operations.

Assist with the loading and unloading of freight.

Operate aircraft in strict accordance with all applicable regulations, program requirements, and company policies.

Prioritize flight crew safety and maintain exemplary customer service standards.

Identify and report aircraft deficiencies for maintenance review and resolution.

Execute flight operations during day, night, and various weather conditions.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications

Total Time (TT): 800 hours.

Pilot-in-Command (PIC): 250 hours.

Multi-Engine (ME): 75 hours.

Turbine: 40 hours.

Possession of an iPad for use when reporting for duty.

Must relocate to the El Paso, Texas base.

Part 135 experience, familiarity with company aircraft, or previous cargo experience is highly preferred.
Requirements

Commercial Pilot License with multi-engine land and instrument rating.

Current Instrument Proficiency Check.

English Proficiency (ICAO Level 4).

Minimum age of 18.

Valid FAA First Class Medical certificate.

FCC Radiotelephone Operator Permit.

Current Passport (passport cards are not accepted).

Legal eligibility to work in the United States.

Physical ability to lift up to 125 lbs., climb ladders, and maneuver around aircraft.

Ability to successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screening and comprehensive background checks.

Ability to obtain an airport SIDA badge.
-
Willingness and ability to relocate to the assigned base and travel extensively.

Flexibility to work various shifts, overtime, and on-call assignments.
