Boeing 747 First Officer
This position presents an opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced pilot to join a leading cargo airline company. The First Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of every flight.
Job Purpose
The First Officer is responsible for assisting the Captain in all aspects of flight operations. This includes conducting pre-flight checks, maintaining communication with air traffic control, monitoring cockpit instruments, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures. The First Officer is committed to the safety of the aircraft and all passengers onboard.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive pre-flight checks to ensure the aircraft's safety and readiness for flight.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with air traffic control throughout the flight.
- Monitor all cockpit instruments to ensure proper functioning and identify any potential issues.
- Continuously observe weather conditions, aircraft position, and air traffic patterns. Request changes to the flight plan as needed to maintain safe flight operations.
- Submit detailed reports on the flight trip and aircraft status before and after landing.
Qualifications
- Experience: Preferred experience with Boeing aircraft, with a particular emphasis on the B747-400.
- Licenses: A valid ATPL or CPL EASA Licence is required.
- Medical Certification: A valid EASA Part Med Class 1 medical certificate is mandatory.
- Language Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in English at a minimum of ICAO level 4.
- Flight Hours: A minimum of 3,000 hours of total flight time is required.
- Regulations: A thorough understanding of federal aviation safety rules, regulations, and procedures is essential.
