We are now looking for a Chief Pilot to SAS Link!
The Chief Pilot is appointed by and accountable to the Nominated Person Flight Operations. Chief Pilot is delegated authority and assigned responsibility for supervision and management of policies, rules, procedures, and notices governing SAS Link operations.
Management and coordination of SAS Link fleet operations ensuring compliance with the standards of SAS Link and requirements of the Authority and other applicable authorities;
On behalf of the NPFO, maintain and develop OM parts A, B, C and MEL/CDL in accordance with the latest standards established by relevant manufacturer, standards of SAS Link and requirements of the Authority and other applicable authorities;
On behalf of the NPFO ensure an efficient document control in E195 fleet operations;
Ensuring that the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are legible, clearly documented, identified, standardized and defined in compliance with the applicable regulations and industry best practice;
Liaising with the Regulatory Authorities, aircraft manufacturers and other external entities to ensure that the Aircraft Flight Manual, Flight Crew Operating Manual, Quick Reference Handbook are up to date and provide the most advantageous performance data and operating procedures consistent with flight safety;
Review Occurrence reports including establishment of root cause analysis and timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions;
Liaise with the Cabin Crew Manager to ensure SOP is compatible with Cabin Crew procedures;
Liaise with Continuing Airworthiness office in system related matters to ensure that any issues with aircraft systems are solved in a timely manner and initiate, coordinate and follow up on operational modifications;
Evaluating conduct and performance results for pilots operational standards;
Review and/or assessment of pilot’s technical competences and skills; aviation experience; credentials and licenses; interpersonal skills during pilots selection process;
Advising on the planning of routes and schedules with respect to any limitations of aircraft performance, categorize and approve/re-approve Aerodromes;
Selection of candidates for, and organization of the command assessment process;
Oversight of the crew administration and general welfare requirements;
Reporting to the NPFO on operational issues in regard to routes, destinations, aircraft, authorities, crew/staff, and other operationally relevant issues;
Undertake such line flying, checking duties and acceptance/delivery flights, as required;
Participation in miscellaneous projects as assigned by NPFO;
Ensuring cost efficient operations in line with SAS cost saving initiatives;
Stakeholder management and cross functional leadership in a multinational environment
Deep understanding on the supplier side of the business
Ability to prioritize and work independently.
Ability to drive a productive safety culture
Be proficient with both written and oral communications, especially English
10+ years of professional experience in aviation sector
Experience from a similar position and/ or aviation start-ups is valuable
Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
Comprehensive knowledge of EASA Ops and any associated requirements and procedures
Familiarity with Compliance Monitoring, Safety Management and Security Management Systems
Appropriate experience in a comparable organization
Administrative experience and O365 “know how”
Hold or have held a valid Airline Transport Pilot’s License and associated rating issued or validated by an EU Member State, appropriate to the type of operation conducted under the AOC.
Experience on the ERJ170/190 series is valuable.
