The SAS Pilot Recruitment Process

The rigorous selection process is designed to identify the most qualified candidates and comprises the following stages. Each step may be disqualifying.

  1. CV Screening: A comprehensive review of qualifications, licenses, and flight experience.
  2. Video Interview: Candidates will record answers to a set of predefined questions.
  3. Online Interview: A live virtual interview with a SAS recruiter.
  4. Online Tests: Completion of cognitive and personality assessments.
  5. Assessment Day: Includes group exercises, a simulator session, and a personal interview.
  6. Final Checks: Comprehensive background screening, a personal security interview, and a drug and alcohol test.

Please note: As a mandatory requirement for employment at SAS, candidates will be required to undergo a background check, a personal security interview, and complete a drug and alcohol test. Both the security interview and testing must be conducted in the city of the chosen base.
