Anatomy & Physiology Adjunct Instructor

Saint Elizabeth University, situated in Morris County, New Jersey, seeks part-time, temporary Adjunct Instructors for the Department of Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry. The Adjunct Instructor will be responsible for teaching lecture and laboratory sections of undergraduate Anatomy & Physiology I and II (BIO121 and BIO123).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teach assigned lecture and laboratory sections for undergraduate Anatomy & Physiology courses.
• Develop and prepare course materials, including syllabi, homework assignments, and assessments.
• Maintain accurate and timely recording and reporting of student data, such as grades and attendance.
• Support student learning objectives by focusing on outcomes, accommodating individual differences reasonably, and holding regular office hours.
• Uphold the academic integrity standards of the University.

Qualifications:

• A Master of Science degree in Biology or equivalent education and/or experience is required.
• Previous undergraduate teaching experience in biology science lecture and laboratory courses is preferred.
• Knowledge of operating laboratory equipment and maintaining associated safety records relevant to the course.
• Competence in utilizing technology as an educational tool.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with supervisors, peers, and students.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with the Moodle educational platform and online teaching is preferred.
