Salt River Project (SRP) is seeking an experienced Airplane Pilot to join their flight department in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. This role involves piloting fixed-wing aircraft, including the Cessna Citation 560 series, and supporting non-flying duties to ensure the success of the flight operations.
About the Role
The Airplane Pilot is responsible for executing professional fixed-wing flight operations. Key duties include serving as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) for various missions such as parts transport, corporate/VIP travel, and crew shuttles. The pilot will operate in diverse airspace, including complex urban environments, throughout the United States, and occasionally internationally. The role demands the ability to safely manage operations in challenging conditions, including high-density altitude environments, day/night IFR, and short-field operations. In addition to flight duties, the pilot will also perform essential ground handling, aircraft preparation, and other supporting non-flying tasks as required.
Requirements

Minimum 3,000 hours fixed-wing PIC time

1,500 hours multi-engine experience

1,000 hours turbine experience

100 hours in make/model (or as required by insurance)

Valid ATP certificate

Demonstrated ability to exercise sound, independent judgment and self-dispatch authority in alignment with SRP Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Proven capability to collaborate and communicate effectively with diverse SRP teams

Availability to work flexible schedules, including overtime and non-standard hours

Ability to maintain an FAA Class II flight physical and a lifestyle that supports safe flight operations

Strong safety judgment, including the ability to cancel, delay, or modify flights when safe outcomes cannot be assured, and clearly communicate these decisions while supporting alternate planning efforts

Proficiency in required IT systems, including SRP-designated software, computers, and related equipment

Completion of required ground school and simulator training relevant to SRP’s fixed-wing aircraft within the past 12 months

Ability to routinely operate from hot, high-altitude airports with up to 20-30 knot crosswinds, using 80% to 100% of runway takeoff distance

Ability to perform all required flight planning, including crew rest and customs requirements

Ability to prepare aircraft for flight, including cleaning and catering setup

Willingness to participate in off-site recurrent training and complete all required corporate training

Fulltime Pilots must be available to report to Falcon Field within 45 minutes of notice, as needed

A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
