Salt River Project (SRP) is seeking a skilled Airplane Pilot to join their flight department in the greater metropolitan Phoenix area, Arizona. This role involves providing expert fixed-wing flight operations, piloting a Cessna Citation 560 series aircraft, and supporting essential non-flying duties. The position demands extensive aviation experience and the capacity to adapt to new operational requirements.
About the Role

Serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) for SRP’s fixed-wing aircraft, including the Cessna Citation 560 series.

Conduct diverse missions such as parts transport, corporate/VIP travel, and crew shuttles.

Operate aircraft in complex airspace across the U.S. and occasionally in Mexico, including high-density altitude environments and day/night IFR conditions.

Execute cross-country flights and overnight trips as necessary, including short-field takeoffs and landings.

Perform essential ground handling, loading, and refueling tasks.

Communicate effectively with passengers regarding safety and flight details.

Undertake assigned non-flying duties to support the flight department’s objectives.
Requirements

Minimum of 3,000 hours of fixed-wing PIC time.

Includes 1,500 hours of multi-engine time.

Includes 1,000 hours of turbine time.

Includes 100 hours in make/model (or as stipulated by insurance requirements).

Possession of a valid ATP certificate.

A valid type rating for the Cessna 500 series is preferred.

Demonstrated ability to exercise sound, independent judgment and self-dispatch authority in adherence to SRP's Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Proven capability for effective collaboration and communication with diverse SRP teams.

Availability to work flexible schedules, including overtime and non-standard hours.

Ability to maintain an FAA Class II flight physical and a lifestyle conducive to safe flight operations.

Strong safety judgment, including the ability to make and communicate decisions regarding flight cancellations, delays, or modifications when safety cannot be assured, while supporting alternate planning.

Proficiency in required IT systems, including SRP-designated software and equipment.

Completion of required ground school and simulator training for SRP’s fixed-wing aircraft within the past 12 months.

Experience operating from hot, high-altitude airports with significant crosswinds and utilizing a substantial portion of runway length.

Ability to perform comprehensive flight planning, including crew rest and customs requirements.

Capability to prepare aircraft for flight, including cleaning and catering setup.

Willingness to participate in off-site recurrent training and all required corporate training.

Full-time pilots must be available to report to Falcon Field within 45 minutes of notification.
