Pilot - Mission Solutions and Technologies
SNC seeks an experienced and highly skilled Pilot to join our Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) team, operating the most innovative GLOBAL 6500 aircraft in some of the most challenging environments worldwide.
This dynamic position requires a dedicated individual with a passion for aviation and a commitment to serving our nation's war fighters. The successful candidate will possess extensive global flight experience, a keen understanding of aviation technology, and a strong sense of purpose.
Responsibilities:
- Execute a wide range of critical missions, including casualty evacuation, maritime patrol, experimental test flights, special mission training, fighter aircraft training, and other operations supporting our Nation's war fighters.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of relevant government regulations, including 14 CFR Part 91, DCMA 8210.1C, AR 95-20, and AR 95-1.
- Maintain personal fitness for flight, ensuring a valid FAA commercial pilot certificate and a Class 2 medical certificate are always current.
- Ensure professional readiness by adhering to all governing directives for pilot training, currency, and proficiency.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-flight aircraft and weather assessments prior to each sortie.
- Verify that the aircraft is within weight and balance limits, and that performance is suitable for the planned flight.
- Coordinate with air traffic control for safe operation at airports and within the airspace system.
- Monitor aircraft systems, navigation, fuel loads, and weather conditions throughout the flight.
- Adapt flight plans to optimize mission completion and effectiveness, exceeding customer requirements.
- Collaborate with aircraft mechanics to maintain the airworthiness and legality of the aircraft.
- Effectively manage emergency or abnormal situations to ensure the safety of the flight crew and aircraft.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
- Possess a valid FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with multi-engine and instrument ratings without limitations.
- Hold a current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate.
- Successfully pass a FAA/Military Pilot Background Check and mandatory drug and alcohol screening.
- A minimum of 500 PIC hours in Global 6000/6500 type or 1000 PIC hours in similar aircraft types for direct hire Captain (Senior Pilot) position.
- Minimum 2500 hours total fixed-wing time in a multi-engine turbo prop aircraft, jet aircraft or a combination thereof in aircraft with GTOW 12,500 or greater.
- Hold a valid Radio Telephone Operators License (US FAA/FCC issued).
- Current valid passport and other travel documents permitting unrestricted travel within the US and internationally.
- Eligibility for rapid visa issuance from offices in the United States for travel to any SNC destination.
- Eligibility for a US Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Agree to undergo a FAA/Military Pilot Background Check.
- Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Global 6000/6500 Type rating highly desired.
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate desired.
- First Class Medical Certificate preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university desired.
- Recent experience in similar aircraft types is highly desired.
- Experience in Airborne Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance missions and/or prior service experience is highly desired.
- US Military Survival and/or Physiological training may be required.
