Minimum Captain Requirements

Prospective Airbus A320 Captains must satisfy the following essential minimum criteria:

• Minimum of 4,000 total flying hours on the A320 type or complex jet aircraft exceeding 30,000kg Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW).
• Minimum of 2,000 Pilot-In-Command (PIC) hours on the A320 type or complex jet aircraft exceeding 30,000kg MTOW.
• Possession of a valid A320 Instrument Rating (IR) / Type Rating (TR) at the point of application and commencement.
• Flight Currency: Date of last flight on type must be within the preceding eight (8) months.
• Demonstrated proficiency in both written and verbal English communication skills.
