Minimum Requirements
Candidates interested in this challenging yet rewarding position must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Total Flight Hours: A minimum of 4,000 total flight hours.
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Experience: A minimum of 250 hours as PIC or PIC Under Supervision (PICUS).
- Alternative Flight Time Qualifications: Candidates may also qualify through one of the following criteria:
- 3,500 total flight hours, including 500 hours as PIC on aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) greater than 16 tonnes.
- OR 3,000 total flight hours, including 1,000 hours as PIC on aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) greater than 16 tonnes.
- License: Possess a valid EASA Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- Medical Certificate: Hold a current EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- English Language Proficiency: Demonstrate ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 5 or higher.
- Type Rating: A specific type rating is not required, as comprehensive type rating training will be fully provided by SAS.
- Right to Work: Candidates must possess an unrestricted legal right to live and work within the European Union (EU).
- Visa Sponsorship: SAS Scandinavian Airlines regrettably does not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
- Background and Security Checks: All applicants are required to successfully complete a thorough background check and a personal security interview. Additionally, a drug and alcohol test must be undertaken. Both the personal security interview and the drug and alcohol test will be conducted in the designated base city.
