Essential Minimum Qualifications
Prospective candidates must strictly adhere to the following mandated flight experience and licensing criteria:
- License Requirement: Valid EASA Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- Medical Certificate: Current EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- English Language Proficiency: ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 5 minimum.
- Total Flight Time: A minimum of 4,000 total flight hours.
- Command Experience (PIC): Candidates must satisfy one of the following minimum command requirements:
- 4,000 total flight hours, including 250 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) or PIC Under Supervision (PICUS); OR
- 3,500 total flight hours, including 500 hours as PIC on aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 16 tonnes; OR
- 3,000 total flight hours, including 1,000 hours as PIC on aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 16 tonnes.
- Type Rating: A specific type rating is not required for application, as necessary training will be provided by SAS.

All candidates must meet stringent legal and security requirements necessary for employment within the European Union:
- The applicant must possess the unrestricted legal right to live and work within the European Union (EU).
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
- The applicant must possess a clean criminal record.
- As a prerequisite for employment at SAS, candidates will be required to successfully undergo a mandatory background check and a personal security interview.
- Candidates must successfully complete a drug and alcohol test. Both the personal security interview and the drug and alcohol test must be conducted in the designated city of the future base assignment.
