The Role and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be integral to the delivery of a top-class safety and customer service experience to all guests flying on board Ryanair Group aircraft. This role is highly rewarding; however, it is also demanding, requiring constant adherence to strict safety protocols and operational efficiency.

Crew members must be fully adaptable to working a varied shift roster, encompassing both early and late duties. Operational reports may commence as early as 05:00 on early shifts, with late shifts potentially concluding near midnight. Candidates must possess significant flexibility and an understanding of the demanding nature of flight operations.

Training and Career Progression

The journey to becoming a fully qualified cabin crew member begins with a comprehensive six-week training course. During this rigorous period, the candidate will acquire all fundamental skills required for the day-to-day role, focusing intensely on emergency procedures and customer service excellence. The training syllabus includes regular examinations and culminates in Supernumerary flights before the candidate is awarded their official Cabin Crew Wings.

Career opportunities within the Ryanair Group cabin crew structure are extensive and include accelerated advancement pathways. Professionals can aspire to roles such as Cabin Crew Manager (Number 1), Base Supervisor, Regional Manager, or even executive positions such as Director of Inflight Services.

Essential Candidate Requirements

Candidates applying for the Cabin Crew role must strictly adhere to the following mandatory criteria:

  • Applicants must hold the unrestricted right to live and work within the European Union (EU) and possess the ability to travel freely throughout the Ryanair Network.
  • Height must be within the approximate range of 5' 2" (157 cm) and 6' 2" (188 cm).
  • The candidate must be able to swim 25 meters unaided.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in speaking and writing English is required.
  • Candidates must possess a passion for travel and meeting new people.
  • A hardworking, flexible, outgoing, and friendly personality is advantageous.
  • The ability to interact effectively with the public and maintain excellent customer service standards with a 'can do' attitude is essential.
