The Role of a Cabin Crew Member

The core responsibility of the Cabin Crew Member is to deliver world-class safety protocols and provide an exceptional customer service experience for all guests. This rewarding role requires adaptability and the willingness to operate within a flexible shift pattern, including early and late duty periods. Crew members must be prepared to report for duty as early as 05:00 on early rosters and potentially return home as late as midnight on late rosters, emphasizing that safety remains the number one priority at all times.

Training, Development, and Career Progression

The journey to becoming a qualified Cabin Crew Member commences with a rigorous, free, and internationally recognised 6-week training course. This comprehensive program equips candidates with the fundamental skills necessary to deliver top-class safety and service. The training culminates in Supernumerary flights, followed by the official award of Cabin Crew Wings.

From the commencement of employment, crew members are immersed in the supportive culture of the Ryanair Group. Career progression opportunities are rapid and well-defined, offering clear paths to senior roles such as:

Essential Candidate Requirements

Candidates must fulfil the following non-negotiable criteria:

  • Must hold the unrestricted right to live, work, and travel freely within the European Union (EU) throughout the Ryanair network.
  • Height must be approximately between 5'2" (157 cm) and 6'2" (188 cm).
  • Ability to swim 25 meters unaided.
  • Comfortable speaking and writing in English with complete fluency.
  • Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, hardworking, and flexible regarding shift work.
  • Possession of an outgoing, friendly personality and a 'can-do' attitude, ensuring excellent customer service delivery.
  • A genuine passion for travelling and meeting diverse groups of people.
