The Role of a Cabin Crew Member

The Cabin Crew Member is fundamentally responsible for delivering a top-class safety and customer service experience to all guests flying on board Ryanair Group aircraft. While the role is highly rewarding, it is also demanding, requiring strict adherence to operational schedules where safety remains the number one priority.

This position requires full adaptability to a rigorous shift roster, necessitating operation on both early and late shifts. Crew members must be prepared to report for duty as early as 05:00 on early shifts and may not return home until midnight on afternoon rosters.

Training, Development, and Career Progression

A successful applicant’s journey begins with a comprehensive, 6-week Cabin Crew Training Course. This course is offered free of charge and results in an internationally recognized qualification. The training is intensive, involving regular study and examinations, culminating in Supernumerary flights before the trainee is awarded their official Cabin Crew Wings.

Essential Candidate Requirements

Prospective applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for a position within the Ryanair Group cabin crew:

  • Must hold the unrestricted right to live and work in the EU and be able to travel freely throughout the Ryanair Network.
  • Must be comfortable speaking and writing in English with complete ease and fluency.
  • Physical height must approximately be between 157 cm (5’2”) and 188 cm (6’2”).
  • Must be able to swim 25 meters unaided.
  • Possesses an outgoing, friendly personality and enjoys dealing directly with the public.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability, happy to work a demanding shift roster.
  • Exhibits the ability to provide excellent customer service with a proactive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Holds a passion for travelling and meeting new people.
