Ryanair Cadet Pilot Program: First Officer Training Opportunity
Ryanair, Europe’s largest airline group, invites applications for its highly competitive Cadet Pilot Program. This exceptional training opportunity is designed for aspiring aviators ready to transition into the role of First Officer, operating high-performance Boeing 737 or Airbus A320 series aircraft across the airline’s expansive network.
Candidates selected for this program will benefit from comprehensive, airline-specific training, successfully transitioning from flight school to commercial airline operations.
Minimum Candidate Requirements
Successful applicants must meet the following strict prerequisites:
Licensing, Ratings, and Certifications
- License Requirement: The candidate must hold a current and valid Frozen ATPL (fATPL) license. Licenses issued by either EASA or the UK CAA are accepted.
- Essential Ratings: Applicants must possess a current Instrument Rating (IR), Multi-Engine (ME) rating, Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) certificate, and Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) qualification.
- Medical Certification: A current Class 1 Medical Certificate is mandatory.
- Language Proficiency: Demonstrated ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) at Level 4 or higher is required.
Flight Time and Documentation
Applicants must satisfy specific flight hour and documentation requirements:
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Hours: Candidates who completed a modular flight training course must possess a minimum of 100 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC). Candidates who completed an integrated flight training course must possess a minimum of 70 hours PIC, as defined under Appendix 3 A, C & D to Part-FCL and AMC1.
- Mandatory Flight School Report (FSR): A detailed Flight School Report is required. This document must be written in English and officially signed by the Flight School’s Head of Training (HOT).
- FSR Content: The report must comprehensively detail all ATPL examination results (noting any repeats), successful CPL and MEIR series passes, and provide specific information relating to the candidate’s overall performance throughout the entire training period. This requirement applies equally to both Integrated and Modular course graduates.
- Type Rating: A Type Rating is not required for entry, as necessary Type Rating training will be provided upon acceptance into the program.
Administrative and Legal Requirements
- Right to Work: The candidate must hold the unrestricted and permanent legal right to live and work within the European Union (EU) and/or the United Kingdom (UK).
- Visa Policy: Ryanair does not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
