First Officer
About the Role:
The First Officer serves as a vital member of the flight deck crew, working in direct coordination with the Captain. This role is fundamental to ensuring optimal customer comfort while rigorously upholding the highest safety standards for all assigned flight operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute flight duties in strict compliance with Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including all relevant procedures, limitations, and performance parameters specific to the assigned aircraft type, as directed by the Commander.
- Ensure the safe navigation of the aircraft, maintaining a continuous and independent check on both the aircraft's geographical position and its safe terrain clearance.
- Proactively offer advice, information, and assistance to the Commander that contributes positively towards the safe and efficient conduct of the flight.
- Effectively seek and receive necessary information and explanation from the Commander.
- Maintain an exemplary personal standard of discipline, conduct, and appearance, acting as a professional representative of the Company at all times.
- Actively support the Commander through example, fostering the development and maintenance of a high standard of professional expertise and morale among the flight crew.
- Maintain comprehensive familiarity with relevant UAE and International air legislation, alongside established aviation practices and procedures.
- Possess thorough familiarity with all necessary provisions of the Company Operations Manual required to fulfill the role's functions.
- Assist the Commander as requested concerning administrative duties related to the flight.
- Support the Commander in maintaining the required standards of crew discipline, conduct, and personal appearance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Possession of valid FAA, JAA, or GCAA pilot licenses is required.
- Holds an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) acceptable to the GCAA.
- Possesses a valid type rating on the specific aircraft type.
- A minimum of 2,500 hours of flying time on BBJ 737 (NG) aircraft is mandatory.
- A minimum of 1,000 hours in a multi-jet engine aircraft is mandatory.
- Successfully completed a Command Course.
- Holds a valid Instrument Rating, valid Recurrent Checks, and a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Demonstrates an accident and violation-free flying record.
- Familiarity with relevant UAE and International air legislation and agreed aviation practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with pertinent provisions of the Company Operations Manual necessary for this role.
- Excellent English Language Proficiency.
- Experience in VIP flight operations is preferred.
- Academic background, preferably holding a Diploma in Aviation or Business Administration, with a University Degree being highly desirable.
