Job Purpose
The individual in this role will collaborate directly with the Captain, prioritizing passenger comfort while ensuring the safe execution of all assigned flights.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute flight duties as directed by the Commander, adhering to Company Standard Operating Procedures, including aircraft-specific procedures, limitations, and performance guidelines.
- Confirm the aircraft's safe navigation, continuously and independently monitoring its geographical position and maintaining safe terrain clearance.
- Proffer advice, information, and assistance to the Commander to contribute to the safe and efficient conduct of each flight.
- Seek and receive necessary information and explanations from the Commander.
- Maintain a high standard of personal discipline, conduct, and appearance, representing the Company professionally at all times.
- Support the Commander in fostering and maintaining a high standard of professional expertise and morale among the crew through exemplary conduct.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant UAE and international air legislation, as well as agreed aviation practices and procedures.
- Remain familiar with the pertinent sections of the Company Operations Manual required to fulfill their responsibilities.
- Assist the Commander with administrative duties related to the flight, as requested.
- Support the Commander in upholding proper standards of crew discipline, conduct, and personal presentation.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Familiarity with the provisions of the Company Operations Manual relevant to the role.
- Academic background, preferably holding a Diploma in Aviation or Business Administration; a University Degree is preferred.
- Possession of FAA/JAA licenses.
- Possession of an ATPL and a valid type rating on the relevant aircraft type.
- Minimum of 2500 hours of flying time on a BBJ 737 (NG) aircraft.
- Minimum of 1000 hours of flight experience in a multi-jet engine aircraft.
- A record of accident and violation-free flying.
- Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot License acceptable to the GCAA.
- Successful completion of the Command Course.
- Possession of a valid Instrument Rating.
- Possession of valid Recurrent Checks.
- Possession of a Class 1 Medical certificate.
- Familiarity with relevant UAE and international air legislation and agreed-upon aviation practices and procedures.
- Proficiency in the English language.
- Experience with VIP flight operations.
