Job Summary:

This position requires a highly skilled and responsible individual to ensure the safety and security of the aircraft, passengers, and cargo. The First Officer will maintain thorough familiarity with the Royal Jordanian Operations Manual to fulfill their duties professionally and safely. They will provide crucial support to the Commander, contributing to the efficient and safe conduct of each flight.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the safety and security of the aircraft, passengers, and cargo, adhering to all relevant regulations and procedures.
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the Royal Jordanian Operations Manual to perform duties proficiently and safely.
  • Assists the Commander with administrative tasks related to flight operations as requested.
  • Executes flight duties as delegated by the Commander, following Royal Jordanian operating policies and procedures.
  • Independently monitors the aircraft's geographical position, ensuring safe terrain and weather clearance.
  • Conducts flights in accordance with the current flight plan, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the Commander's directives, promptly notifying the Commander of any changes to the flight plan, Air Traffic Control (ATC) instructions, or geographical position when the Commander is not at the controls.
  • Provides timely and accurate advice, information, and assistance to the Commander to enhance the safety and efficiency of flight operations.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2000 hours total flying time.
  • A minimum of 1000 hours jet experience in multi-crew, glass cockpit environments.
  • 500 hours minimum on A320.
  • Possession of a current and unrestricted ICAO Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating (CPL/IR).
  • Current qualification on the A320 aircraft.
  • Recent flight experience, with a last flight within specified timeframe.
  • Unrestricted, current Class 1 medical certificate.

Skills

  • A minimum of 2000 hours total flying time.
  • A minimum of 1000 hours jet experience, multi crew, glass cockpit.
  • 500 hours should be on Type (A320, Boeing 787 or Embraer E2)
  • ICAO current and unrestricted CPL/IR
  • Current on Type (A320, Boeing 787 or Embraer E2).
  • Last flight within a specified timeframe.
  • Unrestricted, current Class 1 medical.
  • English Language Fluency (written and verbal) Level 4 or better.

Education:

  • Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) required.
