Job Description: Airline Captain

The Airline Captain is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all crew members, passengers, and cargo on board the aircraft. This individual assumes full command of the aircraft's operation and safety, with the authority to issue necessary commands to maintain the well-being of everyone on board. The Captain must maintain thorough familiarity with all applicable regulations, documentation, and briefing materials pertinent to each flight, including alternate airfields and route specifications. They ensure that all crew members diligently adhere to operational checklists before, during, and after all flight phases, including abnormal and emergency situations. The Captain is also tasked with implementing manufacturer-provided procedures and checklists, as approved by Royal Jordanian, to maintain the highest standards of flight operations and operates the aircraft in accordance with all guidelines and protocols outlined in operational manuals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 6000 hours of total flying time, including at least 3500 hours of jet experience as Pilot in Command (PIC) on multi-crew, glass cockpit jet aircraft. They also have a minimum of 500 PIC hours on Type (A320, Boeing 787, or Embraer E2). An unrestricted and current ICAO ATPL is essential, as is being current on Type (A320, Boeing 787, or Embraer E2). They should have flown a flight within the last year and hold an unrestricted and current Class 1 medical certificate. Current TRE/TRI certification is considered an advantage. The candidate must demonstrate English language fluency (written and verbal) at Level 4 or higher.
