Aviation Specialist Opportunity at Rolls-Royce

Minimum Requirements:
- Flight Experience: Candidates must possess significant Combat Air piloting experience, with a strong preference for recent operational experience on 4th or, ideally, 5th generation fighter aircraft. Demonstrable experience in Flight Test, Operational Evaluation, or instructional roles is also highly valued.
- Licensing: Applicants are required to hold a current EASA or UK CAA Commercial Pilot License (CPL). Rolls-Royce will also consider candidates who demonstrate a clear willingness and capability to obtain an EASA/CAA CPL/ATPL.
- Medical Certification: A valid Class 1 Medical certificate is mandatory.
- English Language Proficiency: An ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) level of 4 or higher is essential.
- Technical Aptitude: A profound and demonstrable technical interest in aviation is crucial for this position. Rolls-Royce encourages applications from individuals with diverse career backgrounds that have cultivated relevant technical experience. This includes, but is not limited to, experience in flight test, requirements management, engineering, QWI/EWI roles, or completion of a GD Aero-Systems course. Strong, demonstrable interest and practical experience are highly regarded, even in the absence of formal qualifications.
- Project & Acquisition Experience: Experience in project management or equipment acquisition is also considered highly advantageous.
- Type Rating: A specific type rating is not a prerequisite for this role, as comprehensive training will be provided by Rolls-Royce.
