PNG Air is seeking experienced ATR72 TRI (Type Rating Instructor) and TRE (Type Rating Examiner) candidates for direct-hire positions in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. This role is integral to developing flight crew capabilities, upholding training standards, and supporting a growing ATR 72 operation.
About the Role
The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the training and checking functions within PNG Air's ATR 72 fleet. This position offers the opportunity to engage in crew development and ensure adherence to operational standards.
Requirements

Valid TRI and/or TRE approval on ATR (ICAO equivalent accepted).

Previous airline training or checking experience.

Minimum 3,000 total flight hours.

Minimum 500 multi-engine flight hours.

Minimum 500 Part 121 flight hours.

Minimum 500 turbo flight hours.

Valid ATPL with a current ATR 72-500 / 72-600 Type Rating and Multi-Engine Command Instrument Rating.

Currently flying as an ATR 72-500 / 72-600 PIC, TRI, or TRE, or last flight within the preceding 18 months.

Valid English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 4 or higher.

Valid Class 1 Medical certificate.

Operational Proficiency Check (OPC) completed within the last 6-12 months.
