Flight Attendant - Republic Airways
Overview
Republic Airways, a leading regional airline in North America, is seeking highly motivated and customer-oriented individuals to join our team as Flight Attendants. As a Flight Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of our passengers while adhering to all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Inflight guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver a safe and comfortable onboard experience for all passengers, while diligently performing all regulatory and assigned cabin duties.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all emergency procedures and operate all emergency equipment on board the aircraft.
- Provide food and beverage service to passengers, requiring physical strength to maneuver heavy carts.
- Assist passengers in stowing carry-on baggage.
- Maintain a clean and orderly cabin environment.
- Collaborate with other crew members to ensure timely departures and efficient turnaround times.
- Perform inflight sales and promotional duties as assigned.
- Assist other Customer Service staff as needed with passenger handling and various duties.
- Maintain reliable and punctual attendance adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Present a professional image, both in conduct and appearance, adhering to the Company’s uniform dress code.
- Adhere to the Company’s associate Rules of Conduct as outlined in all applicable manuals.
- Maintain currency of Inflight guides and manuals.
- Foster the Company's core values and culture throughout the work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of two years of customer service experience.
- Must be at least 20 years of age by the date of the first interview.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional years of customer service experience, preferably in an aviation environment.
- Previous Flight Attendant experience.
Other Requirements
- Polished interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a strong customer-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Ability to serve and handle peanuts, meals containing shellfish/seafood, beef and pork.
- Ability to work with animals and around other allergens and products.
- Pursuant to Republic's Flight Attendant Style Guide (Dress Code), tattoos are NOT permitted on the head, face, neck, chest, hands, or fingers. Visible tattoos are permitted on the arms, wrist, legs, ankles, and feet if less than 2” x 3.25” in size; otherwise, they must be fully covered by a listed, approved tattoo coverage method.
- Minimum wingspan of 55 inches to safely operate all necessary equipment on the aircraft.
- Ability to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without extender or other modification that may harm the integrity of the harness.
- Minimum lap belt measurement of 50 inches and shoulder harness measurement of 40 inches when fastened.
- No visible multiple piercings while in uniform.
Language Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
- Effective communication skills to present information to and respond to questions from management, crew, passengers and the general public.
- Fluency in English, including the ability to shout verbal commands during emergency situations.
Reasoning/Problem Solving Ability
- Ability to work effectively in a time-sensitive environment and handle stress associated with meeting deadlines and managing unexpected change.
- Capable of interpreting various instructions presented in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Remain calm and act quickly in all types of emergency situations, including medical emergencies, aircraft decompression, emergency evacuations, fires, security threats, passenger disturbances, turbulence, etc.

- Make day-to-day operational decisions that require thought and are somewhat structured.
- Process information quickly and react positively during unexpected or serious situations.
- Control personal and emotional responses and act appropriately under high levels of stress.
Physical Demands
- Possess the physical strength to reach and operate all emergency equipment and exits using necessary movements and force up to and including 70 pounds.
- Lift objects above shoulders up to and including 35 pounds.
- Push and pull moveable carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds.
- Walk and stand for extended periods, sometimes with aircraft turbulence.
- Stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel.
- Clearly see at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses or contacts.
- Clearly hear verbal communications in person and over airplane communication systems with ambient aircraft and passenger noise.
- Sit in assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without any modifications.
- Move freely, effectively, and quickly within confined aircraft environments.
- Work extended duty periods on sequential days.
Work Environment
- Work in a culturally diverse atmosphere and interact professionally with passengers and crew under stressful conditions.
- Accommodate customers' special needs/disabilities.
- Work extended periods of time on a varied schedule, including early mornings, nights, overnights and weekends.
Travel Requirements
- Travel up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight stays.
- Willingness to relocate based on the Company's operational needs.
