Flight Attendant
Republic Airways seeks a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Flight Attendant. In this role, the incumbent will ensure the safety and comfort of passengers while adhering to all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Inflight guidelines.
Essential Duties:
- Perform all regulatory and assigned cabin duties, prioritizing passenger safety and comfort while delivering a positive onboard experience.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of emergency procedures and the operation of all emergency equipment onboard the aircraft. Competently operate all emergency exits and aircraft equipment, utilizing necessary movements and force up to 70 pounds.
- Provide food and beverage service to passengers, requiring the ability to push and pull moveable carts exceeding 250 pounds.
- Assist passengers with stowing carry-on baggage up to 35 pounds.
- Maintain a clean and organized cabin environment.
- Contribute to a reliable and on-time operation by collaborating with other crew members to adhere to all reporting, departure, and turn times.
- Perform inflight sales and promotional duties as assigned.
- Assist other Customer Service staff with passenger handling or additional duties as required.
- Maintain consistent and timely attendance, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Project a professional image through both conduct and appearance, including adherence to the Company uniform dress code.
- Comply with all associate Rules of Conduct as outlined in applicable manuals.
- Maintain currency of Inflight guides and manuals.
- Foster the Company's core values and culture within the work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Possess polished interpersonal skills, coupled with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrate the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
- Effectively present information to and respond to inquiries from management, crew, passengers, and the general public.
- Communicate clearly and be understood in English, including the ability to shout verbal commands during emergency situations.
- Demonstrate a willingness to work in a time-sensitive environment and effectively manage stress associated with meeting deadlines and unexpected changes.
- Interpret a variety of instructions presented in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.
- Remain calm, think critically, and react swiftly in all emergency situations, including but not limited to medical emergencies, aircraft decompression, emergency evacuations, fires, security threats, passenger disturbances, turbulence, and more.
- Make daily operational decisions, requiring thoughtful consideration within a structured framework.
- Process information quickly and react positively during unexpected and/or serious situations.
- Maintain control over personal and emotional responses, acting appropriately under high levels of stress.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED, with at least two years of customer service experience.
- Must be 20 years of age by the date of the first interview.
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
- Additional years of customer service experience, preferably in an aviation environment.
- Previous Flight Attendant experience.
Other Requirements:
- Possess a wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater to reach and safely operate all necessary equipment on the aircraft.
- For safety reasons, must be able to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with the seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without an extender or other modification that may compromise the integrity of the harness. (Reference: Lap belt measurement is 50 inches when fastened; shoulder harness measurement is 40 inches when fastened.)
- Must not have multiple piercings visible while in uniform.
- Must be willing to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Must be able to serve and handle peanuts, meals containing shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
- Able to work with animals and around other allergens and products.
- Pursuant to Republic's Flight Attendant Style Guide (i.e., Dress Code), tattoos are NOT permitted on the head, face, neck (including behind the ear), chest, hands, or fingers. Visible tattoos are permitted on the arms, wrist, legs, ankles, and feet if less than 2" x 3.25"; otherwise, they must be fully covered by a listed, approved tattoo coverage method.
Physical Demands:
- Possess the physical strength to reach and operate all emergency equipment and exits utilizing necessary movements and force up to and including 70 pounds.
- Lift objects above shoulders up to and including 35 pounds.
- Push and pull moveable carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds.
- Walk and stand for extended periods, sometimes with aircraft turbulence.
- Stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel.
- See clearly at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses or contacts.
- Hear verbal communications clearly, both in person and over airplane communication systems, amidst ambient aircraft and passenger noise.
- Sit in assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without any modifications.
- Move about the aircraft and perform all required functions freely, effectively, and quickly in a confined environment.
- Work extended duty periods on sequential days.

- Ability to work in a culturally diverse atmosphere and professionally interact with passengers and crew under stressful conditions.

Travel Requirements:
- Travel up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights.
