Flight Attendant
Overview
Republic Airways seeks a dedicated and experienced individual to join its team as a Flight Attendant. The Flight Attendant ensures the safety and comfort of passengers onboard, adhering to all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Inflight guidelines. This role requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform all regulatory and assigned cabin duties with constant attention to passenger needs, creating a safe and comfortable onboard experience.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all emergency procedures and the operation of emergency equipment, including the ability to safely operate all emergency exits and aircraft equipment weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Provide food and beverages to passengers, requiring the ability to push and pull moveable carts exceeding 250 pounds.
- Assist passengers with stowing carry-on baggage weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Maintain a clean and organized cabin environment.
- Collaborate with other crew members to ensure timely and efficient operations, adhering to all reporting, departure, and turnaround times.
- Perform inflight sales and promotional duties as assigned.
- Assist other Customer Service staff as needed with passenger handling or other tasks.
- Maintain consistent and punctual attendance, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Present a professional image through conduct and appearance, including strict adherence to the Company uniform dress code.
- Uphold the company's Rules of Conduct outlined in all applicable manuals.
- Remain up-to-date with all Inflight guides and manuals.
- Promote and embody the Company's core values and culture within the work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- High school diploma or GED, with at least two years of customer service experience.
- Minimum age of 20 years by the date of the first interview.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Additional years of customer service experience, preferably in an aviation environment.
- Previous Flight Attendant experience.
Other Requirements
- Possess exceptional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a strong customer-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Ability and willingness to serve and handle peanuts, meals containing shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
- Ability to work with animals and around other allergens and products.
- Visible tattoos are permitted on the arms, wrist, legs, ankles, and feet if less than 2" x 3.25"; otherwise, they must be fully covered by a listed, approved tattoo coverage method. Tattoos on the head, face, neck (including behind the ear), chest, hands, or fingers are not permitted.
- Must have a wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater to safely operate all necessary equipment on the aircraft.
- For safety reasons, must be able to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with a seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without an extender or other modification that may compromise the integrity of the harness. (Lap belt measurement: 50 inches when fastened; shoulder harness measurement: 40 inches when fastened).
- Must not have multiple piercings visible while in uniform.

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, crew, passengers, and the general public.
- Ability to speak and be understood in English, including shouted verbal commands during emergency situations.
Reasoning and Problem Solving Ability
- Willingness to work in a time-sensitive environment and effectively manage stress associated with meeting deadlines and unexpected changes.
- Ability to interpret various instructions presented in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.
- Ability to remain calm, think clearly, and react quickly in all types of emergency situations, including medical emergencies, aircraft decompression, emergency evacuations, fires, security threats, passenger disturbances, turbulence, etc.

- Makes daily decisions supporting operations, requiring thoughtful consideration and adhering to established structures.
- Ability to process information quickly and react positively during unexpected or serious situations.
- Capability to manage personal and emotional responses and act appropriately under high levels of stress.
Physical Demands
- Must possess the physical strength to reach and operate all emergency equipment and exits using necessary movements and force up to and including 70 pounds.
- Ability to lift objects above shoulders up to and including 35 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull moveable carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, sometimes with aircraft turbulence.
- Must be able to stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel.
- Ability to see clearly at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses or contacts.
- Ability to clearly hear verbal communications in person and over airplane communication systems amidst ambient aircraft and passenger noise.
- Must be able to sit in the assigned jump seat with a seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without any modifications.
- Ability to move freely, effectively, and quickly within the confined aircraft environment while performing all required functions.
- Ability to work extended duty periods on sequential days.

- Willingness to work in a culturally diverse atmosphere and professionally interact with passengers and crew under stressful conditions.
- Ability to accommodate customers' special needs and disabilities.
- Willingness and ability to work extended periods and a varied schedule, including early mornings, nights, overnights, and weekends.
Travel Requirements
- Travel up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight stays. Willingness to relocate based on the Company's operational needs.
